Awesome sketch challenge at Rakscraps

Hey guys, go check out Mish's awesome challenge at Rakscraps! She has a rectangle challenge going on -- all entries get a gift too! Better dig out some pics and start scrapping - man, I am spending too much time designing and blogging and taking pics! I have TONS of pics to scrap and not a whole lot of motivation. I did do up a nice one for the Rakscraps newsletter that I was pleased with --- can't show it until the newsletter comes out tho' .. Someone -- please, make me scrap!

Another Great rectangle - Eve Recinella

When I saw this LO, knew I had to share it with my readers! How amazing is it! Love the composition and the colors. It has just the right amount of bling wihtout overpowering the picture. Love the picture in B&W against the bold colors of the kit! I have been admiring this rectangle scrapper for a while --- PLUS, she is a Designer too! Has great great kits available!

Title/Link: My Princess
Designer:Eve Recinella
Kit Credit: Eve Recinella's Princess Prissy Pants and stitching is Ronna Penners

Don't forget while you are here to check out Sketch #2 and enter into a draw to win a free kit by posting your LO (either on my blog or email me). Also, scroll down for some freebies that I posted over the last few days!

DAWNEEPHAY - Rectangle Spotlight

OK, I can sit and ooooh and awwwww over this scrapper's gallery for HOURS ON END! She totally inspires me! So, i just have to spotlight this LO which is absolutely adorable.

Designer: Dawneephay
Title/Link: Little Girls and Hats
Kit Credit: The papers used are from the tattered linens paperpack by Kim Christensen at ScrapbookBytes. Dawneephay made the tags hanging on the ribbon and the heart tag. (used her papers)

Look at that pic - omg so cute! The choice of colors is sooooo clean and fresh and fun. I love the font work she has done and the use of the ribbons and tags. Everything pulls together really well and the photo being large still gives it the right amount of attention :) Anyways, don't just look at this LO to inspire you - take a look at her whole gallery at SOTB! You will get lost in it I am sure! Leave her some comments! I am sure she would love to hear from you!

Another freebie

This isn't a new freebie, I have had it in my store for a while. It is another design creation that I could never get a full kit built for, but has always been one of my fav color combos - those colors are just all me. Anyways, thought I would share the link for you guys who may not have seen it before - click here

New Sketch - RU Square Sketch #2

OK, time for another sketch. As the last one, I will randomly pick from people who email me (gincarson@yahoo.com) or comment me with a link to their LO using my sketch. I am going to draw for a winner from the last sketch later today and I will keep this contest open until next Monday (and will do a new one each Monday when possible)

So this is my new sketch - I am cheating because I am actually taking sketches from LOs that I have already done so that you can see it in use. So, check out the LO I did for Cassidy's first Bday - it went into the Brag book I made for the family - EASTER BABY

If I can't tempt you over to the rectangle side - don't worry! I would LOVE to see you use my sketch as a square! Who knows, maybe you can convince me to abandon my rectangular ways! Don't forget to check out the freebie I have posted as well.

Freebie alert!

OK, so, along with starting this blog as a New Year resolution - I also said I would try to step outside my box design wise. Normally, I am into bright, patterned or cutesy stuff -- I thought I would try my hand at darker colors and a little more distressed. This is what I came up with and I am not feeling in it right now to make a kit out of it - so I thought I would thank my readers by offering it up to you. You can download it from Scrap Outside the Box (click on the link at the bottom of the page)
